ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Chandra Blouin Vitomir.
I've been obsessed with business from a young age. I'm especially passionate about how branding can be leveraged to position and grow a business.
I believe that a good brand is no longer optional. Competing, and growing, in today's global economy can only happen if you have a strategic brand.

I have a special spot in my heart for B2B companies—maybe because of my family's wire manufacturing business, or maybe because I like to prove that B2B's can have a sexy brand too.

How it all started
I've been a budding entrepreneur since high school, when I started my own "Kids Helping Seniors" business. I had a knack for marketing as I was quick to put together a flyer on our original Macintosh 128K, entailing my brother's help with the distribution of flyers around our neighbourhood.
After high school I spent a year pursuing psychology at Simon Fraser University after which I changed paths to focus on, you guessed it, marketing. Shortly after completing my MarCom diploma from BCIT I started an event planning company with a schoolmate. By 1997, we had added a graphic design partner to our team and our company morphed from event planning to marketing and design. After a few gruelling start-up years, our marketing and design firm finally took off. The growth of this company was my passion for almost 27 years.
My professional years
Many things changed in the world of marketing (and business) over a quarter century. Email arrived and we started emailing artwork instead of faxing it. Websites became a thing…even though many of our clients insisted they were just a fad. And at some point, about 10 years into business, our marketing and design company evolved into a branding agency. Over these years I also developed a love for red wine.
I served as the Director of Strategy at our Mad Men-esque style branding agency and on a daily basis I was challenged with a wide array of business cases, from well established companies to entrepreneurial start-ups, each wanting to use branding to grow or evolve their business.
In some cases I helped rebrand and position companies for acquisition. Others needed guidance to consolidate and streamline their brands so they could cut costs and maximize marketing efficiencies. Some organizations needed to eliminate brand confusion in the marketplace and within their own team. Others businesses wanted to utilize the power of brand to rally their multi-location teams to work together as one cohesive team.
Over these years I worked with more than a thousand different companies, delivering strategic branding advice to help them achieve their unique goals and overcome key business challenges—and I loved it.
In November 2023, life threw me a curveball and I had to make a choice between family and business. Since then I've had the time I needed to focus on my family and think about the next chapter in my professional career.
After serious contemplation it was clear that I want to continue to do what I love. I want to help companies, like yours, better utilize brand to make a bigger impact. Not just on your bottom line (although that too), but on your people, your community, your industry and the world.
